Hi, I'm Mikaela Lynn, I'm very pleased to "meet" you!
I started my journey in the healthcare field in 2010 when I began training as a Massage Therapist in NYC. Since then I have become a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and since moving to LA in 2017, I have turned my focus more specifically to equity for marginalized people in health and wellness. I am now a DONA International Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, a Certified Gentle Sleep Coach®, a California Certified Massage Therapist, a Reiki Master, Yoga Instructor (RYYT500), Lactation Educator, and trained in the use of Essential Oils for Birth and Postpartum, and most recently a Certified Facilitator of The Resilience Toolkit.

I am currently working on completing:
- Peristeam Hydrotherapist Certification
- PAIL Advocate for Full Spectrum work
- StillBirthday Certification
- Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings (BADT) Childbirth Education Certification
- DTI Slow Doula Method
- Yoga Therapy Training
- Rocket Yoga Teacher Training
- Birth Becomes Her Birth Photography Certification
- Coaching & Training Women Academy’s Pre and Postnatal Coaching Certification
- Coaching & Training Women Academy’s GGS-1 Certification
I am very excited to continue in this field, as I am fiercely passionate about improving the healthcare equity for women and femmes - specifically Black, trans, and nonbinary folks. Mikaela Lynn
My entire life I have been surrounded by children and families — I was born and raised in Colorado in a blended family (the youngest of seven) so my experience navigating family dynamics and caring for children started from a young age. At this point I have fifteen nieces and nephews, four great nieces and nephews, two children of my heart, and an ever growing circle of adopted nieces and nephews!
I have spent many years of my life working with children and families - babysitting when I was younger, and working as a nanny for children of all ages during college and grad school. I even worked as a Resident Assistant while in college and Grad school! I have spent much of my life holding space for and supporting people as they learn, grow, and transition into new periods of their lives.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa studying Theatre, Music, and Dance — then spring-boarded out of the midwest to NYC where I earned my Master’s Degree in Acting. I spent many a year then as a nanny after grad school. About five years ago I started coming to LA regularly to work in a children's theatre company, spending the summer of 2014 as the Music Director. I served as a founding officer and board member when we turned it into a nonprofit in 2015.
I have worked in customer care and service for over twenty years. From food service to high-end catering, from theatre to personal training, teaching and advising to major production coordination, etc and I have found that there is a commonality among them all — I am a people person. Throughout these many careers, some consistent feedback I hear from clients and customers is that I am able to provide a fun and engaging environment, and also provide a calm presence during tribulation.
When not working, I am an artist through and through! From two advanced degrees in talking and playing pretend, to learning to make jewelry, pottery, and websites ... I spend most of my free time creating things!
My superpower is the energy I bring into a room. This feedback remains constant whether I'm waiting tables or attending a birth. I love to laugh and be goofy, and I am cool and calm under pressure. Humans and pets alike seem to flock to my side! I have over twenty years of experience working with people in challenging situations, and I know I can assist you and your family as you navigate your reproductive and perinatal transitions.
I am excited and eager to support you as you navigate your life transitions!
